Coby

Artist

Takođe, uspostavio je određene saradnje i na američkom tržištu, pre svega: “Headache” i “See Me”.

Slobodan Veljkovic – Coby (born April 11, 1985) is a Serbian musician based in Belgrade, Serbia. He is known as the Wonder of the South, due to his hometown being the town of Prokuplje in southern Serbia. As of 2006-07, he is a prominent member of Bassivity Digital – a Serbian music label. As a producer, he collaborated with countless domestic rappers, however recently also began working with some of the more mainstream artists in Serbia, which include his old acquaintances such as Cvija, Rasta and Relja Popovic, along with Dara Bubamara, Ana Nikolic, Natasa Bekvalac, Nikolija, Jala Brat & Buba Corelli, Sandra Afrika, Teodora Dzehverovic, Boban Rajovic, Stoja, Goga Sekulic, Gasttozz, Ljupka Stevic, Connect etc.

Audiences from the United States had a taste of Coby in his collaborations with the likes of Rick Ross, French Montana, Fetty Wap and Lil Durk in “Headache” and “See Me”. However, the vast majority of the public came to know Coby after his hit single “Ideš Za Kanadu” with THCF. The song made an equally large impact on both the underground and mainstream scenes in Serbian music and raised the bar higher than ever before in terms of production standards. It wasn’t long until THCF’s and Coby’s next collaboration spawned another hit – “Nikom Nije Noćas Kao Meni”, which was released under the “IDJ” label.

As time passed by, Coby was more frequently getting vocally involved in his songs, mainly with Serbian folk star Dara Bubamara in Nevaljala, as well as performing the chorus of his collaboration song with Cvija and Relja Popovic – Crni Sin which managed to break the regional record for most YouTube views on a song in 24 hours upon upload.

In 2018, alongside Relja Milankovic Reksona, Coby initiated the revival of the esteemed Bassivity Digital record label. Artists that are currently signed to Bassivity Digital include some of the most renowned Balkan hip hop and R&B artists, such as Fox, Senidah, Sara Jo, etc.

It is noteworthy that Coby’s seemengly stone-cold heart was in fact conquered by one Cobeliks aka Bebitza, whose vocals are present on Coby’s signature tag “Coby, jesi ti radio traku?”
