The Factoury®

The Factoury® is an alias of Jesse Rutherford, lead singer of Californian indie band The Neighbourhood. ‘The Factoury®’ is also the nickname of Jesse’s home studio and was once the name of his online merchandise store. Songs under this alias were released on Jesse’s secretive SoundCloud account.
In 2016, he released several tracks under the alias such as “Cell Phone Trap”, “When I’m Not Around” and “U R Wut U Eat.”
In 2017, it appeared that Jesse had abandoned the alias as he released “Born to be Blonde” and ventured into a solo career under his own name with the album &. However, Jesse would still use this alias to release throwaway songs and loose tracks up until early 2023 when The Factoury®’s SoundCloud page was erased.
