Artist

mansionz is an alternative R&B, hip-hop, and pop duo comprised of singer-songwriters Mike Posner and blackbear.

Prior to mansionz, the duo were already good friends, having been working together since 2012 on several projects, most notably teaming up to write Justin Bieber’s 2012 hit “Boyfriend”. Many collaborations followed before the pair’s debut single as mansionz “STFU” was released on December 9th, 2016.

Reports have stated that in recording their debut album, the duo locked themselves in a cabin in the woods, and worked on music for two weeks straight. The result was a debut album, Mansionz (formerly Greatest Hitz) released March 24, 2017. The album featured G-Eazy, Spark Master Tape, Soren Bryce, and Dennis Rodman.

In promoting the album, the duo notably appeared together at the GRAMMYs, both wearing lime green haircuts (a nod to inspiration and collaborator Dennis Rodman).

In late 2023, they reunited to release mansionz 2, a sequel to their self-titled debut which had been teased for several years.
