DJ Premier’s remix of Craig David’s “7 Days” is more of a re-recording than an actual remix, as it has completely different lyrics that compliment Preemo’s signature stripped back production, and adds two additional verses from fellow Brooklyn staple Yasiin Bey, giving the song an authentic east coast/NYC flavor.

Despite what the original cover art on Genius and some other sites might’ve told you, the late Nate Dogg had nothing to do with this remix. In actuality, the voice singing in the beginning is Craig David doing a pretty damn good impression of Nate’s hook from Yasiin’s “Oh No”, hence the confusion.
