“Alexa de Paris” was the instrumental B-Side to the single “Mountains” from the album Parade, which served as the soundtrack to Prince’s film Under the Cherry Moon, where “Alexa de Paris” is also featured. An extended version was included as a B-Side to “Letitgo” in 1994; it was one of two B-Sides not included in the 1993 compilation The Hits/The B-Sides.

The song is named after “The Dancer” from Under the Cherry Moon and the “Girls & Boys” video, then 17-year old Oklahoman ballet star Alexa Fioroni.
