The sixth single off of De La Soul’s debut album, 3 Feet High and Rising. The three MCs detail the dangers of drug abuse (in particular, the crack epidemic sweeping urban America). Its lyrical content is very similar to Public Enemy’s “Night of the Living Baseheads,” which released the previous year.

Hall & Oates’s famous “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do)” is heavily sampled throughout this track, including providing the vocals for the chorus that gives this track its title.
