Man Overboard

Man Overboard

blink-182

“Man Overboard” is generally considered to be about the firing of blink-182’s original drummer Scott Raynor, due to his alcohol abuse—though this was never confirmed by the band members.

The song was originally intended to be released for the Enema of the State album, but didn’t make it because it was still a demo version, so it ended up being the lead single for the band’s first live album, The Mark, Tom and Travis Show (The Enema Strikes Back!).

The song peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.
