Considered a sequel to her Mac Miller duet “The Way”, “Right There” is Ariana Grande’s sonic tribute to ‘90s R&B. The song was released as the third and final single from the singer’s debut album Yours Truly on August 6, 2013. Rapper Big Sean, who Grande would later date from 2014 to 2015, is featured on the track. “Right There” became a moderate success, peaking at #84 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was eventually certified Gold by the RIAA.

The song’s music video, based off the story of Romeo and Juliet, was released on October 30, 2013. Grande’s former Victorious co-star Elizabeth Gillies and actor Patrick Schwarzenegger make cameos in the video.
