Love Me Like You

Love Me Like You

Little Mix

The second single off of Little Mix third studio album Get Weird finds the members of the band realizing no one will make them feel the way their ex did.

Jesy Nelson told Sugarscape that the song’s original title was “Fuck Me Like You,” but they had to change it to make it more family-friendly. However, the raunchy undertones are still present, via lines like “you got that nasty” and “love the way you give it to me.” Later in the interview, Leigh-Anne Pinnock shared what she thought would reel in listeners:

I feel “Love Me Like You” is going to gain us a slightly older audience, it’s all our friends' favorite song. We’ve never done something like it before–with a Motown vibe–but we like challenging ourselves and like to keep it fresh.

In 2020, five years after its release, the track ultimately went viral on a video-sharing social app, TikTok with the hashtag #lmly.
This is not the first track by the UK’s finest to blow up on the platform. LM5’s “Wasabi” gained recognition during the summer season of 2019.
