Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) was arrested in South Africa after his visitors visa expired on January 18th 2016. While the South African Home Affairs department has given Yasiin and his family (wife, mother and four children) 14 days to leave the country, it seems Mos has a different side of the story, claiming he was arrested and harassed by SA authorities.

The freestyle/message was uploaded to close friend Kanye West’s website and contains references to Yeezy’s new songs, “Real Friends” and “No More Parties In LA.”

Towards the end of the message, Yasiin announces he will release his final album in 2016 and “officially” retire from the music industry and Hollywood. Mos signed West’s GOOD Music label in 2010.
