On April 15, 2016, T.I. tweeted that he was hanging out in Los Angeles with Anderson .Paak, as well as Big Sean and Jhené Aiko, who had released their collaboration album TWENTY88 two weeks prior to the tweet.

T.I. would again tweet about Anderson .Paak, this time on April 17, the night before .Paak’s Coachella show. T.I. directly mentioned Anderson, leading to speculation that the two would be collaborating in the future.

That night, at Anderson’s Coachella Set, T.I. performed a remix of “Come Down,” as well as a guest set, which included “Bring Em Out” and “About The Money.”

The song was officially released on May 26th, 2016 after .Paak and T.I. performed on The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon.
