22 (OVER S∞∞N) [Bob Moose Extended Cab Version]

Bon Iver

An extended version of the opening track from Bon Iver’s third album, 22, A Million, this track was released as a promotional single ahead of the album’s release, backed with an extended version of the album’s second track, “10 d E A T h b R E a s T ⚄ ⚄”.

The extended version is named after Bob Moose, the father of classical musician and longtime Bon Iver arranger Rob Moose, whose strings can be heard all over this version of the track.

Amping up the electronic sound that was brushed lightly over the project’s earlier works, the song features a sample of Mahalia Jackson’s iconic live version of “How I Got Over,” as performed at the March of Washington, minutes before Martin Luther King Jr’s legendary “I Have a Dream” speech.
