Lecrae posted a number of teaser clips on his Twitter page the week of January 15th to January 22nd. They included famous athletes, musicians, and actresses professing they believe in Christ and giving God the glory for their achievements. The videos included 2pac, Stephen Curry, Allen Iverson, and Lauryn Hill. “Blessings” was released on January 23rd, 2017.

The music video was released on March 22, 2017. The video features Lecrae’s family just having a good time. Lecrae described the video in an interview:

Inspiration for the video was a lot of the ‘90s movies like Boyz n the Hood, Soul Food, Menace II Society, Big Momma’s House vibe. We wanted to paint a picture of family and the blessing of having friends and family and kids, and uncles, and aunties, big mama. It’s also a lot of how my childhood was. My family would throw parties all the time and it would be a lot of laughing, drinking, dancing, spades and dominoes and that was a great time for me.
