Produced by Louis Bell and Post himself, “Candy Paint” is a flex record from the Fate of the Furious soundtrack album. On October 19, 2017, however, Post re-released the song as the second single from his sophomore album, beerbongs & bentleys.

The song features the general theme of a hot whip with a candy-paint finish, along with references to Post’s wealth and success. Post himself has a custom Ford Explorer that has a blue candy-paint finish with “the white on top” and Lambo-style doors which inspired this song.

Post took the car onto the show, Inside West Coast Customs, in episode seven of the sixth season, titled “Post Malone’s Old Skool Explorer.”
