An official remix for “California,” a track from Niia’s debut album I, featuring Boogie was released on July 17, 2017. The remix follows the same theme as the original song: a couple moved away to California (or more specifically to Los Angeles or another dreamy area of the state since Boogie is from Compton) and find themselves falling out of love. However, Boogie’s verse seems to emphasize on the possible double meaning of this song. “California” could be about the artists' relationship with the music industry (Niia moved from New York City to L.A. to pursue her career) and not simply about a romantic relationship.

A music video for this version of the song directed by Bradley Soileau was released in March 2018.
