“Beast Mode” is the second released single from A Boogie’s debut studio album The Bigger Artist, following “Drowning” feat. Kodak Black. However, it is the first single following the announcement of the album cover art and the release date.
The track features A Boogie’s frequent collaborator PnB Rock, who have featured together on tracks like “Horses” from The Fate of the Furious: The Album, “IDK”, “Playa No More”, “Stand Back”, and “X Factor”, and NBA Youngboy, a first-time collaborator for both A Boogie and PnB Rock.
Thematically, the song deals with the new lifestyle that A Boogie, PnB and NBA Youngboy are dealing with after coming up in the rap game. Both A Boogie and PnB Rock were featured in 2017’s XXL Freshman List.
