Apologize

OneRepublic

“Apologize” is the debut single of OneRepublic.
The original version of the track was released on their debut album Dreaming Out Loud (2007), but it wasn’t until Timbaland remixed the track and released it with OneRepublic as the featured artist on his own compilation album Shock Value that the band and the track received attention from the mass.

Timbaland’s remix version became a massive national and global hit and set the record of the biggest radio airplay hit in the history of the Mainstream Top 40 chart in North America, with 10,394 plays in one week, until its record was broken by Leona Lewis’s “Bleeding Love”.

“Apologize” remained OneRepublic’s most successful single, until 2013’s “Counting Stars” from the album Native. In fact, the RIAA certified “Apologize” 3x Multi-Platinum on May 1st 2008.
