In 1999, Ryan Lum and Anji Bee of Lovespirals collaborated on this remix of the 1998 track, “Bittersweet,” by Claire Voyant. At this time, the duo had not yet established whether they would continue to go by the name Love Spirals Downwards, or forge a new band identity, making this the only song Lum released with Bee under his former band name.

The “Bittersweet (LSD Mix)” first appeared on the album Time Again: A Collection of Remixes in 2000 on German label, Accession Records, which was then reissued the following year by Metropolis Records in the US. In late 2001, the track was also featured on Lovespirals' own Ecstatic EP in an Mp3.com enhanced CDR format. Future versions of the EP left the remix off, due to licensing issues.
