“Got Em Like” is the second posthumous track released by a major artist since Gus had passed away, with “Spotlight” being the first. The song was first teased on April 3, 2017. This also is the first time Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa got on a track together with Lil Peep.

The song had been in the works long before it was teased, however, as during Peep’s Ham Radio interview on March 2, 2017, he mentioned had an unreleased song with Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa; he said “it was a song me and Wiz had”, suggesting that Juicy’s verse hadn’t yet been completed.
