Sometimes I Rhyme Slow

Nice & Smooth

From Nice & Smooth’s 1991 album Ain’t a Damn Thing Changed, “Sometimes I Rhyme Slow” was the album’s lead single and to this day is the song Nice and Smooth are most well known for, along with their features on Gang Starr’s “DWYCK”. The track topped the US Rap Chart in June 1992 and crossed over to pop, almost reaching the top 40 on the Hot 100. It heavily samples the song “Fast Car” by Tracy Chapman.
