“Higher” was a double-A-side single along with “Let’s Ride” from Q-Tip’s solo debut album Amplified. The track contains a sample of Roy Haynes' “Wonderin'” from the 1979 album Vistalite. The ending is notable for Q-Tip intentionally garbling the line “I bet y'all ain’t getting no bush neither” until it devolves into a rhythmic, pseudo-harmonized section of scat syllables. “Higher” did not have a music video filmed.
