“Let’s Ride” was the third single from Amplified, a very literal tribute to Q-Tip’s truck (and some of the enjoyable things he’d like to do inside of it). The single was double A-sided with the track “Higher” for its vinyl release. A music video was filmed for the single:

The track for “Let’s Ride” centers on a complex muted guitar chord line sampled from the John Coltrane composition “Giant Steps” as performed by Joe Pass. The rhythm however, is sampled from The Vibrette’s “Humpty Dump” and gated to stylistically remove all of the reverb on the drums in the original sample. Q-Tip and J. Dilla’s treatment of the drums was directly sampled into PJ Morton’s “Work It Out” in 2013.
