“Drip” appears on Cardi B’s 2018 effort, Invasion of Privacy. This, however, is an early version of the song featuring Offset and Hoodrich Pablo.

“Upscale”, a collaboration between Future, Quavo and Young Thug was the first song to use this instrumental, however, the song wasn’t utilised. After Offset acquired the instrumental, he and Hoodrich then created this version of “Drip”, which he later played for Cardi. Quavo’s verse was interpolated, Takeoff was added and Hoodrich was removed, leading to the creation of the song that was eventually released.
