I Was Made to Love Her

Stevie Wonder

“I Was Made to Love Her,” from the 1967 album of the same name, is a song written by Stevie Wonder, Sylvia Moy, Henry Cosby and his mother, Lula Mae Hardaway. It peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart in July, 1967. It was just shy of surpassing “Light My Fire” by The Doors. It did, however, spend four non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Hot Rhythm & Blues Singles chart.
