Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts)

The Smashing Pumpkins

Multiple critical reviews including Rolling Stone compared the general vibe of the song to “1979,” a classic track from 1995’s Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.

The Rick Rubin produced track was released September 13, 2018 as the second single for the band’s 10th studio album, SHINY AND OH SO BRIGHT, VOL. 1. The song is the first Pumpkins track to hit the Billboard Alternative airplay chart since 2012’s “The Celestials”.

The music video, directed by Corgan, features Mark McGrath of legendary rock band Sugar Ray. The video follows the band members as they embark on a charity challenge requiring them to stay the night in a reportedly haunted house.
