“HUNCHO DREAMS” is Quavo’s response to Nicki Minaj’s “Barbie Dreams.” Nicki specifically name-dropped Quavo on the song, rapping:

This song seemingly confirms that Quavo and Nicki have had a romantic relationship at some point. Rumors of the two being romantically linked began when they were spotted together at Coachella in April 2018. These rumors were reinvigorated in July 2018, after the two appeared together on Ella Mai’s “Boo’d Up (Remix).”

In 2017, the two collaborated on “She for Keeps” and “Motorsport,” which are both mentioned directly and indirectly on this song.

Additionally, in what perhaps may have been intentional, “HUNCHO DREAMS” is the third song on QUAVO HUNCHO, just as “Barbie Dreams” is the third track on Queen.
