“Mind of Melvin”, otherwise known as “Mind of A Maniac” or “MoM”, features Philadelphia native rapper, Lil Uzi Vert. The song was previewed on an Instagram live stream. The original version of the song had leaked on May 20, 2021, and was 4:50 minutes long.

This version of the song only features Lil Uzi Vert due to the demo version including incriminating lyrics. Melly intended on posting the original version but he was incarcerated only four days after the teaser due to possession of marajuna; this arrest was the origin of Melly’s viral mugshot.

Both YNW Melly and Lil Uzi talk about guns and violence in the song, with most of Melly’s lyrics being sung from the perspective of his vicious, cold-hearted alter ego, Melvin.
