“What About Your Friends” is the third single released from TLC’s debut album. It takes a closer look at one’s friendships and asking if they will truly be there for you when you need them the most, or are they just merely acquaintances trying to take advantage of you.

The gold single peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100, #2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and topped the US Rhythmic chart. A remix of the song featured the first appearances of André and Big Boi of OutKast.
