Don’t Fight the Feelin’

Too $hort (Ft. Rappin' 4-Tay)

With One Way’s 1982 hit “Don’t Fight the Feeling” as the backdrop, Oakland’s Too $hort and San Francisco’s Rappin' 4-Tay have a battle of the sexes with N'Tyce and Barbie from the Danger Zone. While this would be the Danger Zone’s only performance, this was Rappin' 4-Tay’s first appearance on wax before he released his own hit single “Playaz Club” from his 1994 album Don’t Fight the Feelin'.

Too $hort talked about the reaction to “Don’t Fight the Feelin'”:

That is definitely one of the most classic Too $hort records ever. To this day teenage kids are discovering that record for the first time and loving it. And old hip-hop heads have that record memorized in their minds for life.
