The 31st edition of the MTV Video Music Awards will be held at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., on Aug. 24 and air live on the East Coast.

Acts such as Ariana Grande, Usher, and 5 Seconds of Summer are scheduled to appear with more acts announced on a later date. Also, the nominees for best lyric video (a new socially voted category), will be announced later on the VMA site.
