“Canyon Moon” is a bittersweet track in which Harry Styles recalls a happy moment from the past and yearns to return home. Harry has dubbed the track “Crosby, Stills, and Nash on steroids.”

In Entertainment Weekly’s review of Fine Line, they note the track’s connection with “the Laurel Canyon sound,” named after an area (and actual canyon) in Los Angeles which was home to a collection of rock musicians in the 1960s and 70s. For a period of time between May 2017 and June 2019, Harry even owned a property less than 5 miles away from Laurel Canyon.

The track was cited as Stevie Nicks' favorite song on the album during Harry’s interview with Rolling Stone.
