“P2”—initialism for Part 2—serves as the sequel to Lil Uzi Vert’s seven-time platinum-selling February 2017 single, “XO TOUR Llif3.” Over yet another TM88-produced instrumental, Uzi interpolates, replicates the flow of, and even samples the original song. The Philadelphia rapper also continues to deal with topics such as his relationship issues with ex-girlfriend, Brittany Byrd and substance abuse.
It’s noteworthy that “P2” and “XO TOUR Llif3” both stand as the sixteenth and closing tracks on their respective projects—“Futsal Shuffle 2020” and “That Way” both being bonus tracks on Eternal Atake.
“P2” was first teased by Uzi in early February 2020, when he revealed the existence of the song and previewed part of the chorus on Twitter.
