Possibly the most highly anticipated YoungBoy Never Broke Again song to release, “Cemetery Lifestyle” features the Baton Rouge native noting his murderous lifestyle in a trap-influenced manner as he raps about murder and violence while also boasting his high affluence in terms of his clothes.

The song was first previewed by YoungBoy himself on fellow rapper Rich The Kid’s Instagram live on June 24, 2020. The song was a particular fan-favorite, however, YoungBoy’s manager Alex Junnier was seen replying to a comment regarding the release of the song:

the answer is you guys asked so much that song never coming out we tired of hearing about it

Despite Alex’s remarks, through YoungBoy’s Amp radio show, it was confirmed that the song would appear on his next project, I Rest My Case, however, it didn’t appear. The track later surfaced in a teaser for his sixth-full-length studio album, Don’t Try This At Home, increasing its hype in YoungBoy’s fan base. Eventually, after three years, the song was released on Don’t Try This At Home.
