To commemorate MF DOOM’s life and legacy, REASON released the extended version of his DOOM-sampling two-month-old hit, “Extinct,” on December 31, 2020, shortly after DOOM’s passing was announced.
A month before this extended version’s release, the original remix leaked. It features a beat switch from jetsonmade, the JID and REASON verses from the original song, and altered structuring absent from this track.
