“CLOUDS” marks NF’s first release of 2021, following his October 2020 track “Chasing_(Demo).” On the track, NF recounts success and shares how he doesn’t fit the classic rapper mold. The classic cinematic production resembles the opening track of his 2019 album The Search, both handled by NF’s main producer Tommee Profitt.

The track is the second single off of NF’s CLOUDS (THE MIXTAPE), releasing on March 26, 2021. The song premiered with a music video, directed by Patrick Tohill, who has done most of NF’s videos in the past.
