“Rainy Day” is a track based on the horror video game series (1996) and their respective movie franchise (2002), “Biohazard (バ イ オ ハ ザ ー ド)” in Japan, renamed in the United States and Europe as “Resident Evil”.
“Rainy Day” is the third single for Ice Nine Kills‘ sixth studio album, The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood. The song’s theme correlates with the band’s motif—horror-movie inspired music.

The cover art of the single is inspired by “Umbrella Corporation”, which is a company in the “Resident Evil” video game saga. In the plot of the game it was created as a smokescreen for biological research, but in the film saga it is a multinational company, originally it was engaged in the production of drugs, but began to develop, mainly informatics and health systems and genetic engineering and for the creation of specialized biological weapons or experimentation on the human genome

During the “Assault & Batteries” video, when the cassette tape is removed from it, another tape with the title “Rainy Day” can be seen on the desk.

There is also a moment, when the child runs into the room with the group, there is a Ouija board on the piano and the pointer is drawn on the letter R, which again is a hint of the only song from The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood with R
