“Journey To The Past” is a lighthearted inspirational pop song from the soundtrack of the 1997 animated film Anastasia. Though the song was performed by Liz Callaway for the film, R&B artist Aaliyah recorded the song for a commercial single release.

“Journey To The Past” was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. When a 19-year-old Aaliyah performed it at the Oscars in 1998, she became the youngest person ever to perform at the Oscars.

A music video shows Aaliyah performing while animation takes over her real-life scene. Later on, real-life Aaliyah is inserted into animated scenes from the movie.
