“don’t come back” shows her frustrations with her partner, and wants to cut him out of her life. The track describes the feeling of wanting to cut someone out of your life who is toxic. In a TikTok, McRae explained the track, saying; “It honestly just talks about, if you wanna be mean do not come back into my life.” The track samples “Ride wit Me” by Nelly and City Spud.

The track was teased in the credits for the “what would you do?” music video released on May 20th, 2022.
