Showed Me (How I Fell in Love with You)

Madison Beer

“Showed Me (How I Fell In Love With You)“ is the third single from Madison Beer’s upcoming sophomore album, title yet to be revealed. The song was released on October 14th, 2022, notably, the song features an interpolation of The Turtles' 1968 song, “You Showed Me“.

On “Showed Me (How I Fell In Love With You)“, Beer sings about observing the behaviours of a widely sought after romantic interest who enchants all he meets, in order to become just as desired herself. She delves into the idea of playing his own game, using his own seduction to make rooms full of people fall her her.

A notable departure instrumentally from the R&B tinged pop and alt-pop production of Beer’s 2020 debut album “Life Support”, the nostalgic -‘60s influenced production, handled by Beer, Big Taste & One Love, is luxurious and self-indulgent, mirroring the “femme-fatal” themes running through the lyrics. Beer’s sultry vocals are at the forefront, and are well suited to the lavish production, resulting in a rich and cohesive song which is a clear evolution from previous work yet still fully harnesses Beer’s vocal strengths.

On October 2nd, Beer posted and deleted the first snippet of this song on Instagram stories, three days later Beer upload a 22-second snippet on TikTok and revealed the official name. On October 7th Beer revealed the release date by posting the music video teaser
