Marking their second Korean comeback in 2022, Red Velvet released the lead single, “Birthday,” to their milestone 10th mini-album, The ReVe Festival 2022 – Birthday.

Just like “Feel My Rhythm,” “Birthday” samples a piece of classical music, “Rhapsody in Blue" by George Gershwin, paired with a trap dance-pop beat with synths.

In the song, Red Velvet celebrates their birthday with ReVeLuv (their fandom) in their own universe where their dreams will come true. In the “Birthday” music video, the girls step into their own vibrant and colorful universe where they battle others in board games, and are accompanied by comic-inspired animations around them.
