Bobby Jesse Shubert (b. July 6, 1999), better known as 6obby, is a recording artist originally from Graham, Texas. He first rose to prominence with his song “nobody,” which has accumulated millions of views and streams across several platforms since its release in 2017.
6obby’s catalog boasts an array of different styles, from cloud rap in the same vein as artists like HKFIFTYONE and Oliver Francis, to emo rap with lyrics regarding his personal battles with mental health, among other topics.
In a 2019 interview with Underground Underdogs, 6obby cited the post-hardcore acts Asking Alexandria and Bring Me The Horizon, and rappers Chief Keef, Pouya, and BONES as being major influences towards him pursuing music.
6obby’s other endeavors include recording music under his other alias, MadeOfWax, and designing clothing under his brand, Waxotic.
