Cindy Herron is a member of the R&B group En Vogue. She was born in San Francisco, California on September 26, 1961, and during the 1980s, she was a background singer, stage actress and participated in pageants as she was named Miss San Francisco and Miss Black California. She was put together with Terry Ellis, Maxine Jones, and Dawn Robinson to form the group En Vogue in 1989 after a talent search in Oakland by producers Denzil Foster and Thomas McElroy. En Vogue released three platinum albums—Born to Sing (1990), Funky Divas (1992), and EV3 (1997)—and had multiple #1 R&B hits including “Hold On,” “My Lovin' (You’re Never Gonna Get It),” “Giving Him Something He Can Feel,” and “Don’t Let Go (Love)” among others.

In 1992, she appeared in the movie Juice as the love interest of Omar Epps' character and she appeared with En Vogue on the television shows In Living Color, Roc, and A Different World in 1993. In 1994, she married baseball player Glenn Braggs and also appeared with En Vogue on the Top 3 platinum single “Whatta Man” by Salt-N-Pepa. En Vogue went on to release four more albums—Masterpiece Theatre in 2000, The Gift of Christmas in 2002, Soul Flower in 2004, and Electric Café in 2018.
