Makenton Louis Jr. (born November 4, 1994), better known by his stage name M.L.J. Tha Beatmaker, is a Haitian-American producer, songwriter, engineer and rapper from Fayetteville, NC. The Fayetteville native established himself as one of SoundCloud’s most legendary producers by the age of 21. He amassed over 2,000 followers on his SoundCloud page, he reached over 3 million views on his YouTube and he is extremely well known for his very popular “Travis Scott” type beats, which he published at a prolific rate on his store, currently with over $300 for sale.

He produced some of Soundcloud rap’s biggest hits for Lil Tecca, Nessly, Mathaius Young, Max Wells, Indica, FACE, Yurms, and a crowd of other artists. He also worked with other well-known producers such as PVLACE, CuBeatz and Frank Dukes. As a producer, he found early success with a viral hit with fellow collaborator and friend Max Wells and 916frostyAshes,” the first song he produced to achieve over 500,000 streams on Spotify. A few songs he produced have benefited from music videos posted to large YouTube channels (i.e. “LOVESiCK” and “Remedy”).

He was a part of the SoundCloud collective All Things Holy, which consisted of Co-Founders artist/producer Lemuel & producer Porya. Features members like producer/engineer M-Piece, rapper Lé Real, singer/producer Tendayi, singer Rob Valentine, producer Sammy Pope, producer Johnny Crooks, rapper/producer Yung Ale, rapper/producer Jay.Sin, rapper B.C. Tha Hybrid and M.L.J. himself.

M.L.J. Tha Beatmaker released his new single CRUSH with former fellow artist Kit Presley on November 5th, 2021 as his first official single.
