Sophie Cates – previously Silver Sphere – is a singer and songwriter from Chicago, currently based in Los Angeles. She describes her music as “pop with unexpected other influences every once and a while”, citing influences including Taylor Swift, The 1975, and Charli XCX.

After releasing her first two EPs with Human Re-Sources and Little Worry / RCA Records, she has been releasing music independently since 2022. Her debut album, Supernova, is expected March 29, 2024.
