Charlton Kenneth-Jeffery Howard (b. August 17, 2003), better known as The Kid Laroi (stylized as The Kid LAROI), is an Australian rapper/singer, hailing from South Sydney.

Originally from Redfern and Waterloo, The Kid Laroi raps and sings about the hardships of being caught between worlds, using music to express his experience of life on the streets, while maintaining focus on his dreams and high goals.

It has been frequently teased the release of a collaboration between The Kid Laroi and rapper Lil Skies, as well as a now-released collab with late mentor Juice WRLD.

His first demo “Disconnect” was selected as a Triple J Unearthed High 2018 finalist.

In early January 2019, Laroi toured with the late rapper and collaborator, Juice WRLD during his Australian tour. It was announced shortly after the tour with Juice that he would also be the supporting act of Denzel Curry’s Sydney, Australia concert.

At Rolling Loud Sydney, Laroi joined Manu Crook$ and DJ Scheme during Manu’s set for a tribute for late rapper, XXXTentacion.

On the 29th of January 2019, Rolling Loud released their Miami 2019 lineup. On Day 2 of the 3 day festival, Saturday, May 11 2019, Laroi represented Australia alongside artists such as Lil Wayne, J.I.D, Lil Baby and Travis Scott.

Since then, Laroi has been signed to Lil Bibby management Grade A Productions and Columbia Records/Sony Music Australia. On December 6, 2019, Laroi dropped his first single since “Blessings” under the aforementioned companies, titled “Let Her Go”. Now amassing over 30 million streams on Spotify alone, he has gone on to release collaborations with other artists such as Lil Tecca and Lil Tjay.

In June 2020, Laroi and late mentor Juice WRLD eventually released their long-awaited collaboration titled “GO,“ which peaked at #52 on the Billboard charts.

Laroi would release his debut studio mixtape, F*CK LOVE, on July 24, 2020, following the singles “GO,” which featured the late Juice WRLD, and “TELL ME WHY.” He’s also joined by Lil Mosey and Corbin as he raps and sings about his struggles with loss and love.

Later in 2020, Laroi released a deluxe version to his mixtape in early November, titled F*CK LOVE (SAVAGE). The project was led by the hit track “SO DONE” and ultimately saw five of its seven tracks reach the Billboard Hot 100.
