Tom The Mail Man

Artist

Sean Brown (b. March 2, 1998), better known as Tom The Mail Man, is an artist, rapper, and singer from Atlanta, Georgia.

Tom began doing music around 2014 while he was in junior year at Walnut Grove High School, first recording songs at a friend’s house, but soon made an arrangement to record more professional-sounding music for free; in exchange, he had to mix music for all of the studio’s other artists without pay.

The summer after he graduated from high school, Tom decided to invest on better equipment that he could use upon getting to college. Though he graduated from Walnut Grove, he decided to pursue a rap career rather than go to college.

Tom has spoken in interviews about considering himself to have a very unique and fresh style that he’s surfed to find relatively large underground success.

“As of now, I don’t see an artist that I could compare myself to, but there have definitely been tons of artists that I’ve been inspired by. My style and voice, in my opinion, are very unique, and I pride myself on my originality.”

Some of the artists from whom Tom takes inspiration are Childish Gambino, J Cole, Jaden Smith, XXXTentacion, and Drake, though the list by no means ends there.

His 2017 song “Curse3Dgirls gained a lot of traction at the time, getting Tom one of his first shows in Atlanta. Later on, strongly successful songs like “Lil Tommy” and “My Storm” increased his clout, and he is now one of the most popular artists in the underground scene.

Tom is also part of “TheDeliveryCrew, (TDC)”, a group that he created with three other friends, with the purpose of building it into a label. As of now, there are four members in TDC: Tom, Keeks, Delopapi and Kotykillem.
