IDK & JID

Artist

Jason Mills, better known as IDK is a British-born American rapper that was born in London, England. He was raised in Bowie, Maryland and started making music under the name Jay IDK. With the rapper’s name actually standing for “Ignorantly Delivering Knowledge”, it can’t be argued that’s what he’s been doing through his music. Although IDK himself didn’t claim this as an album himself, most claim that his “debut studio album” dropped on October 13, 2017, in which IDK titled the project IWASVERYBAD. As of date he has released projects such as the 2018 EP IDK & FRIENDS :), his self-claimed 2019 debut studio album Is He Real?, and 2020 sequel EP IDK & FRIENDS 2.

Destin Route, better known as JID, is an American rapper born in Atlanta, Georgia. He was raised in Zone 6 and started making music under the name Jidd. Receiving the nickname from his grandma due to irregular and scattered behavior, the rapper would soon change his name to J.I.D. The EP that started his path to fame was released on January 26, 2015, and he titled it DiCaprio. He has since released projects such as his debut studio album The Never Story and his sophomore studio album DiCaprio 2, the latter being the follow-up to the 2015 EP.

The duo have collaborated before on “Porno”, which was IDK’s seventh track of his 2019 album Is He Real?, with the track including rap legend Pusha T. They collaborated again in 2020 on a DJ Scheme-produced track titled “Cereal”, with the track also featuring Atlanta native Kenny Mason.
