XanGang

Artist

Romello Robinson, better known as XanGang, is an American producer from Brooklyn, New York. XanGang revealed in a tweet posted on March 2, 2018 that he came up with his name in May 2015 after listening to a song from Glo Gang member Lil Flash’s song named “Police”. He is a member of Rob $urreal’s widely-popular producing group, $urreal Gang.

XanGang is widely recognized and observed by many as one of the most influential producers in all of SoundCloud history, and certainly throughout the streaming service’s peak years during the mid-2010s. He was instrumental in helping push fellow producers MexikoDro and StoopidXools' “Plugg” sound to many popular artists who went on to see relative success in the mainstream, most notably Yung Bans, Summrs, Famous Dex, Weiland, UnoTheActivist, and even Lil Tecca, among many others. Best of all, XanGang is most known and widely accredited for inventing the widely popular underground genre, Plugg&B, alongside former Pluggz producer and R&B singer, Corey Lingo. Branching off from the renowned “Plugg” sound, Plugg&B infuses R&B-esque chord progressions within Plugg-style melodic sounds underneath trap drums.

In addition to the aforementioned, he has produced for Autumn!, BOOFBOIICY, Lotto Savage, Diego Money, THOUXANBANFAUNI, Warhol.ss, Jurp, SwagHollywood, Taliban Trizzy, SP Cash, Ron$oCold, Drippin' So Pretty, WIFIGAWD, CHXPO, Lil Flash, and many more.
