Kisses Down Low

Kelly Rowland

“Kisses Down Low” is the first single from Kelly Rowland’s fourth album Talk A Good Game. It was released online on 18th January, 2013, followed by its music video on 12th March, 2013.

The song initially reached number 96 on the Billboard Hot 100, eventually peaking at number 72 & being certified Gold by The RIAA.

After wrapping up promo for her third album Here I Am with its final single “Keep It Between Us” on 3rd February, 2012, Rowland released a new single, “Ice” at the end of 2012. The song was meant to be the lead single from her fifth album titled Year Of The Woman, which was said to be inspired by 80s and 90s Quiet Storm/R&B artists like Babyface and Pebbles.

In December, 2012 after meeting producer Mike WiLL Made-It while working on the remix to Future’s “Neva End”, Rowland recorded and released the online promo single, “#1” [which also appeared on Mike WiLL’s mixtape Est. In 1989], followed by lead single “Kisses Down Low” a month later alongside an announcement that she had renamed and recorded the album under the title *Talk A Good Game".

The second single “Dirty Laundry” was released in May, 2013 with all three singles appearing on the final tracklist the following month.

After releasing the third single “Gone” in August, 2013, Rowland stated that due to the lack of promotion and support from Universal/Republic for the album and singles, that she had decided to leave the label.
