Free Smoke

UnoTheActivist

Uno released this song in reaction to the beef between his partner Thouxanbanfauni and Lil Yachty.

Originally there were many different takes on the scenario because of what was said on Twitter, but after they were interviewed about it, we have the real story:

Fauni and Yachty were both coming up in the rap game around the same time, recording songs in the same studio and with the same people. However— a year prior to this whole situation, Fauni and his crew shot at Yachty and his manager Coach K, nearly hitting them.

So when the beef first popped up on Twitter, it was because Fauni saw Yachty at a hotel during SXSW and wanted to congratulate Yachty on his success in the past year. But Yachty’s managing team QC’s security wasn’t gonna let Fauni get close, and that’s where the video of Fauni stumbling, getting pushed around appeared.

Finally, it ended where we saw it all start, on Twitter with them exchanging Tweets, most of which eventually got deleted.

Fauni and Yachty have since said they don’t have any more beef, and they’re just focused on money, being positive, and successful. The two reunited in June 2019 for “Reunion”, confirming without a doubt that the beef had ended.

This is the first and only released collaboration to date between Uno and producer Pi'erre Bourne, who ascended to stardom alongside Playboi Carti shortly after the release of this song. Despite any beef being squashed with Yachty, Uno still is beefing with his cousin Carti to this date.
